Searle's BuccaneersWe are a group of Florida-based re-enactors, specializing in portraying 16th- and 17th-century English men and women. We troop under several names, depending on which period we’re doing, and are known as:
• Drake's Men
(16th-century English)
• Capt. John Tilden's Companie, Prince Rupert's Regiment of Foote
(ECW / Royalist)
• Searle’s Buccaneers
(17th-century English)
We do historically accurate re-enacting, with fully researched and documented period military drill and domestic camp life. Since 1991, our members have participated in 16th- and 17th-century re-enactments throughout the United States and have acquired accurate uniforms, flags, weapons, armor, kitchenware, etc.
The purpose of Drake's Men & Capt. John Tilden's Companie, Prince Rupert's Regiment of Foote (member, Sealed Knot) is the accurate portrayal of an English military camp from the late sixteenth century through the late seventeenth century. We fulfill this purpose with fully researched and documented period military drill and domestic camp life. This includes authentic colors, a trained drummer, as well as period cooking and signing.
